Andrea Bricco & Henrik Bonnevier

Andrea Bricco

Andrea Bricco's images seem to be pieces i would see in magazines and on advertisements and the way she presents her pieces are well though as it seems to be she will draw an object of food such as garlic, then have a dish including the ingredient on it, which not many artists do, so it stands out which would interest people because its better to create a new way to make art than copy others. Personally i dont mind her work as it has nothing extremely interesting to me but the way its laid out and the unique qualities of it make me not dislike it.

the context of this image i think may be healthy eating as both images used are of vegetable related food products and is clearly made to engage the reader and make them want to think about food.

the way the image looks is interesting as it shows the ingredients of the food on display behind it, this is a photography design that also include illustration for the backing image is a hand drawn image of a real object this is why Andrea Bricco's work really interests me because i haven't seen work that relates to this at all.

I personally Really like this design due to the fact it shows the food made and the main ingredient, also the message it seems to be sending is a generally good message for anyone to send out into the world due to the current world being filled with unhealthy people and food, this convinces people that healthy food is good too.

Henrik Bonnevier

Henrik Bonnevier's work seems to have the same kind of usage possibilities as Andrea Bricco, Magazines and advertisements, the image above looks as if it is an advertisement because nothing is branded but the perfume of the left, which makes it stand out as if its being advertised. the way Bonnevier does his work is he lays out objects in a photo shoot often the colours are very bright and vibrant which would appeal to a lot of people. I personally like Henrik Bonnevier's work as it has no sense of scale which interests me and its very colourful.

Henriks work doesn't really send out a good message as it kind of shows a commercialism aspect of culture which i am not proud to say is a huge part of society in recent times, it seems to be trying to sell perfume and fashion, whilst fashion can be a good thing being int commercialist society is not all its cracked up to be as it causes jealousy and makes people who cannot afford such product feel bad about being not so well off.

the way the design looks on the other hand is really good and shows a very good contrast of colour and the size of the object really adds a strange effect on the image making you really think about the image which would draw more attention for the audience.

i personally like the looks of the image but not the message it seems to be sending out but other than this i really like the design due to the fact it engages the brain due to scale and colour differentiation.
