Packaging In Depth Analysis




 The purpose of the piece is to sell fruit to a wider audience
A company called The Natural commissioned this design, a confectionary company that often tend to make their product healthy and natural.
The target audience is children and parents.
The colours are natural and linked to each fruit but also bright to attract children.
Its looks as if the font used was made for this design with the basic font below the custom font to break up the design as it would look odd if it was all in the same font, with the custom font being the title it is of larger size than the generic font below it which just describes that the fruit is real.
Well designed basic images of fruit with faces to attract the target audience.
The design is rather well lay out for I dont see a way this could be improved layout wise as it wouldnt work any other way. The way the text is aligned is rather childish obviously to attract children, i think this because the way the name of the product is done in a cartoon style and is very colourful.
The only information on this is name of the product what company produces it what fruit it is and on the back it has a few facts to spice up the design give more reasons to buy it.
I have never seen a design like this which is possibly why i like it because it is unique, even though there isnt much of a gap in the market for packaged fruit, it is interesting.
The image it projects about its company whilst being good is also bad for i see this as a way to extort people who want to be healthy, individually wrapped fruit would cause a substantial rise in the price of said fruit, but it does also imply the company wants the world to be healthier by making fruit more interesting for kids.
This product conveys healthy eating rather well to children whether the children will be able to convince parents to purchase a product that seems to be over priced is a different story, but the information needed is getting through to the audience.
I myself do like this piece as it is very unique, as it is mixed in ethics it confuses me as to whether i like it for what it is doing, but i definitely like the designs used on this product as they are simple yet well thought out and make the fruit being displayed more attractive to a younger audience.
