Idea of how the foreground for my feature spread will look (illustrator) 

this is my final design for the feature spread, i used the initial design for the foreground but decided to make a few changes to make the design more unique such as custom fonts for the title and band names also the red blocks behind the images to draw them out of the background.

For the background i used a texture i found on the internet to make it look like metal steps due to the style of music being metal, after this i experimented with colour on the background starting with white, moving through to red blue, but they were all too bright for the look i was going for so i tried with darker variations of colour but nothing seemed to show up as well as just a base colour of black.

If i could redo this work i would find my a piece of the metal photographed, and take the photo for myself to make it a primary source image that would make the design more unique.
