Review

1. Which materials and techniques have you experimented with during the typography project?

The experimentation i have used includes; acrylic and watercolour paints, dry transfers, generic objects such as pennies, paper cut techniques, inks, spray paint, illustrator and photoshop tools.

2. Have you explored and developed your ideas imaginatively? How have you demonstrated this? (give examples, link to posts or include images)

i feel i have explored my idea very well as i have been doing graphic design outside of college coming up with my own ideas and seeing what looks good and what doesn't

3. Have you research a diverse range of artwork and completed this on your blog? who have you analysed? is
you analysis in-depth? (again give examples and link to posts)

I feel i have analysed a lot of artist but i could have done more and uploaded them to my blog most of my analysis comes with my work where i compare my work to theirs,

4. Have you explored a range of ideas around the theme of 'Sayings and Expressions' within your experiments? What are they? How have they informed your ideas?

Yes i have changed my ideas a lot since i first started this project starting with base sayings moving onto deep lyrics from bands and have probably worked on about 2 or 3 designs

5. Have you refined / developed your outcomes through experimentation? How?

i feel that through the project i have developed my understanding of how artists come to their outcomes as i have taken Si Scott work and made it my own.

6. Have you annotated, in detail, your experiments and developments on your blog and used this information to help you improve?

i feel i have annotated my work very well from about 3 weeks in as the work before hand my analysing skills were poor and i have now moved from writing a line to a paragraph per piece of work uploaded.

7. Which techniques / experiments have been most successful? Why?

i feel that my techniques on the computer involving photoshop have been the most successful for i am more comfortable with my computer skills and rely on them more than i rely on my drawing skills as i feel my skills on computer outweighs that of my hand drawing, other than computers i feel my cutting skills with craft knives has worked effectively.

8. Which techniques / experiments have been least successful? Why?

My illustrator and drawing skills i feel had let me down on this project as they have not been good enough for me to base a final design on them.

9. Which techniques / experiments will you be developing further for your final outcome? Why?

i think for my final outcome i will develop my skills on Si Scott to make his work personal to make it my own adding my own personality into the design, with meaningful words as the statement and  dark yet colourful background.

10. What else can you do to further develop the techniques / experiments you want to use for your final outcome?

I would like to make my design stand out by adding a back design that is made different to my front by using a different media of attachment either paint or bleach
