Vladimir Koncar In-Depth

Vladimir Koncar's work is done by making fonts out of unorthodox items such as above, bottle caps, food, and a lot more items, He often shows a very good shaping skill as the letters are all pretty much perfectly created as you can see above i imagine the work he does is to a large scale but i would also imagine he would do it one letter at a time instead of all at once. Koncar creates his work by placing his object in the shape of a letter and photographing each individual letter and adding them all together to create a font.

I don't imagine that this kind of designing would come from someones background as it is very generic also it has no historical context but it may have links into the attitude and change of society as the design above could show people drink way to much and i know he did another design of condoms which signalises the change in how sex used to be taboo unless you were married but modern contraceptives have changed this.

Koncar's work is mainly done to experiment it all seems like all his work is just preparation for something he plans to do in the future as he has many pieces labelled experimentation, whether his art career is just for him to experiment with what he wants to see or if he is actually going to make something from all his 'experiments'
all of his work i would say is in the genre of Typography as all of his work is creating fonts in unique and interesting ways. the contents of his work is random objects just the the same as the materials of said piece.

I personally like his work as it is interesting and different to a lot of artist and seems to create something useful not just a piece of art but a medium of art something others can use, his fonts as if someone went through the effort to sort out all of the parameters of the lettering they can create fonts out of almost all of his work. my first impression of his work was low as it seemed weird seeing just one object creating things but as i looked more and more into his work i started to enjoy seeing his unique work.
